There can only be a rejection of the Trinity. When we limit THE GOD, the Creator, to the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, there is the implied rejection of His power over all that lay in between.
It is OUR inability to measure the true vastness of His domain. We lack the ability to comprehend His true jurisdiction. Now man has become the warden, bound God into three spheres of influence, three forms? Who is man to dictate the realms of His power or the extent to the boundaries of Heaven?
"Ecce, homo." Truer words were never spoken, As Jesus stood before Pilate, naked, He stood as all of us. "Ecce, homo." We can never know what the tone of those words was but my presumption wasn't sarcasm, it was pity.
I can accept Jesus Christ as the physical manifestation God come to Earth in order to teach the proper method of worship and divinity.
I can accept Jesus Christ as a man who achieved divinity through a spiritual understanding that others have not possessed.
I do not accept the term "Son of God" as anything more than a theological quaintness as in we are all the children of God.

WELS is Uber Uber Conservative.
Nothing bad theologically, but I don't like someone saying I can't pray with my Baptist uncle.

"Have you considered that it might be time to see what else is available in your community?"
Thank you for your question. The answer is no.
Every Christian in every generation has had to
question the church and leadership he or she is
blessed with. The question is: "Do we go, or do
we stay active and, without challenging the spiritual
authority of the leadership, seek to create positive
change, or do we simply abandon another church to
liberalism. Our church, because of the spiritual
vacuum that has been created within our walls, is
right for a more liberal leadership to try to take
over. That is a fight that Satan wants, and it's one
he will get.
Again, I appreciate your questions.
God bless you.

2Ti 4:1-4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Many pulpits today are filled with those false shepherds preaching whatever lies the crowd wants to hear to justify their un-scriptural lifestyles. But God's Word is true and His judgement is sure!

Mine too, after spending a lifetime as a Presbyterian. A very good friend, who is an ordained Pres. Minister, but who works at a secular job, for the same reasons, has a study he has put on a graph. It shows that with the beginning decline in the 60s the trend is that there will be no Presbyterian Church in a few years.

It is curious that the 12% growth rate in the Catholic Church (USA) in the past decade was not mentioned in the article.

Born Again is an effective marketing slogan or catch phrase but has little basis in Scriptural fact. Oh, that's Scriptural fact in original text, not translation. Interpretation through the prism of agenda has done a great disservice to a pretty basic set of instructions.
Even the motto "Born Again" undercuts the message of the Jesus Christ, "The spirit of the law, not the word.". Far too many people forget that was basis for mocking the Pharisees. I remember something about healing someone on the Sabbath.

The conservative Presbyterian Church in America [PCA] grew 42.4 percent in the same decade that the more liberal Presbyterian denomination lost 11.6 percent of its members.Hey, that's us!

I just want to find a church that doesn't do "modern praise & worship". A church that still has hymnals in the pews, AND NOT a rolldown screen & projector. They're getting as rare as chicken's teeth in the nation's medium-sized cities since competition for the "younger members" is fierce.

"Ecce, homo." Truer words were never spoken, As Jesus stood before Pilate, naked, He stood as all of us. "Ecce, homo." We can never know what the tone of those words was but my presumption wasn't sarcasm, it was pity. Intersting. I've never read the Bible in Latin so I was not familiar with this phrase from that episode. It is however the name of Nietzsche's last book. Learn something new every day on FR. Thanks.

I don't know about the MOBO JUMBO you are teaching, but, here is the TRUTH... read it, and get saved.
John chapter 3 verses 1-8.
1There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
