No it's not absurd - what right does the judge have to inject his own FEELINGS into the case ?

The judge has a legal obligation to allow the wishes of the person being "guarded" to be followed up on. Baring any evidence to the contrary, the spouse has the right to express those wishes.

The Schindlers were reported to want to keep Terri's body functioning EVEN if this would be specifically against her wishes.

So who do you go with ? The spouse who claims to be following her wishes, or the parents who say they don't care what her wishes are ?
