" Misdiagnosis of Karen Ann Quinlan's injury may have led her doctors and her parents to not even try giving her therapy ""

Excellent post with valid points.

Thanks. I think it bears repeating, since so few people seem to know this fact (including the medical examiner who compared Terri to Karen Ann Quinlan):

Karen Ann Quinlan was MISDIAGNOSED: She did NOT have cerebral cortex damage.

Karen was allowed to 'vegetate' without therapy, perhaps because of this misdiagnosis.

Another problem with this M.E.'s comparison of the post-mortem weight of the brains of Terri and Karen: Unlike Terri, Karen Ann Quinlan was NOT dehydrated to death.

I wonder if these M.E.s took into account the effect extreme dehydration --over a period of nearly two weeks-- might have on brain weight.
