If you think we're "winning" as the violence increases and more Iraqis get killed, that's okay by me. I'll let the bystanders make up their mind about that definition of "winning."
We've lost 1,700 troops and 12,000 Iraqis to the insurgent terrorist violence, we can't recruit into the military because of it, and people there don't feel like they can live safely. Some "victory."
Yeah, that's a defeat alright. Those carbombing terrorists from Iran and Syria are winning for sure. Nothing's been accomplished at all.
I'd love to get into the mind of someone who calls himself a conservative and can't see the forest for the trees. What blinds you to the reality of what has happened in Iraq? What does that?
If you were a leftist, I'd understand. You'd be lying because you hate Republicans, mostly President Bush, and you'd say anything to defeat us. But what makes someone on a conservative forum say the exact same thing as a liberal?
The elections were a Victory!
Freedom IS worth dying for.
Our Country is under attack and we better be ready to fight and die to keep our freedom!
We lost more than that on the first day of the war.
3030 - Total deaths due to terrorist attacks on 9/11.
I'm glad as hell we are fighting those evil bastards over there and not in my back yard. I hope like anything it continues the way it is until the local have finally had their fill of it and put a stop to it. We started, and are continuing, to fight a war against terrorists. Not a war to win the territories of Iraq. Since the terrorists are willing to oblige us by fighting away from our children, wives and mothers I think the war on terror is being carried out in a successful manner.
Too many people loose track of the goal, they can't stay focused.
