The media is successfully and gleefully recreating the dynamics of the US defeat in Vietnam. Wear down support for our effort.

President Bush appears weak, timid and indecisive. I supported President Bush's reelection and expected a strong second term performance.

He might as well put out a white flag. If he can't communicate, he needs to identify a point man in his administration who can utter a coherent sentence.

If on 9/12, I could look into the future and see that in the year 2005, we would be concerned about the handling of the Koran, I'd be shocked.

I'm depressed by Bush and his administration.

The operative word is appears. I judge him by his actions. He has stayed the course so far and will not be influenced by bogus polls, which ask loaded questions to get desired answers. I am not buying the MSM spin.

If this is what you think, you ARE NOT listening to PRESIDENT Bush!!

I'm depressed by Bush and his administration.

Then quit being part of the problem! With all the crap being spewed across the airwaves it appears that the country is against PRESIDENT Bush, the military and the WOT! That is incorrect and should NOT be listened to!!

What the President says - every day - and what the media reports are not the same thing. Unless it can be spun as negative, the media have placed a virtual blackout on the words of President Bush -- starting with calling him Mister Bush, instead of President Bush.

Do you check on the Day in the Life thread on FR?

This is from 6/11/05: --

PRESIDENTIAL SCHEDULE: Although no schedule update was provided in the White House press briefing yesterday, the President, himself, talked about his schedule in his radio address today.

On Tuesday, I will discuss Social Security reform with young people in Pennsylvania.

On Wednesday, I will address the Energy Efficiency Forum here in Washington, and renew my call for Congress to act on the energy plan I proposed four years ago. Today's high energy prices are like a tax that drags on our economy. We must ensure that American families and small businesses have access to a reliable supply of affordable energy. My energy strategy will lessen our dependence on foreign oil by encouraging conservation, promoting domestic production in environmentally friendly ways, and funding promising new sources of energy such as hydrogen, ethanol, and biodiesel. It will also modernize our aging electricity grid. The House has passed a good energy bill; now the American people expect the Senate to act. For the sake of our economic and national security, Congress needs to get a good energy bill to my desk by August.

On Thursday and Friday, I will discuss a key element of ensuring health care security for our nation's seniors.

You are a newbie, and me thinks you joined FR to do the "BushBash". If there is one thing President Bush is not, and that is weak.

Go back to DU.

Totally agree. He is a good man but he was elected to be a good President. I was stunned at his closing Gitmo comment. I was really upset about the illegal immigrant problem and, I'm really upset about his giving all of this money for aid in other contries. Aid in other countries -they are now cutting reasearch budets, which will most likely cost me my job in a few years. What about "charity begins at home"? Anyways, there is a lot I'm upset with him about. We say he is a poor communicator. That does not cut it. He was a good enough communicator to be elected so what is going on here?

Stop reading the New York Times...you'll feel better and your I.Q. will be raised dramatically.
