Aruba probably has never faced this kind of media attention before, and I doubt they know how to coordinate the release of information.

I think it's safe to assume that they've gotten an admission that Natalee is dead, and possibly where the body was left.

Proper police procedure would be to recover the body but still decline to indentify it as the victim pending positive identification.

Perhaps someone in Aruba is trying to follow procedure.

I agree. Too many on these threads are expecting an out-of -the-way, small-town police department to react like a big-city department used to operating in a media fishbowl.
