San Antonio's winning, so it's not fun anymore. ;-)

The announcers are especially bummed. They all hate SA.

GO SPURS GO!!!!

I know what you mean. I guess one of the players will have to beat up his wife or girlfriend to get some respect nationally. Guess it sucks for an NBA team to be about nuthin' but basketball. < /s>

You got that. Did you hear at the start of the game they announced "It may surprise you but San Antonio is the 9th largest city in the US." and why should that suprise anyone?????????????? ggrrrrrrr they make me sick, but it makes me happy the SPURS are making them sick.

a) Delayed reaction?

b) My comment had nothing whatsoever to do with rooting for either team. I just personally don't need that kind of nonsense at a sports event ... any more than fuzzy mascots running around ballparks.

Don't you love our guys?!

I really do feel that as a group they are some of the BEST guys out there!

During the regular season we stopped at a What-a-burger on the way home from a game - it was a night they gave out Tony Parker posters. The girl at the drive thru was SO thrilled - as he had come thru about 20 minutes before us.. laugh.. We gave her one of our posters... She said he was very nice and polite.. I thought it was SUCH a typical "kid" thing for him to do .. go to Whataburger after a game..

They are a great bunch of guys. When Robert Horry first came to San Antonio he used to go to WING'S-N-MORE on IH10 and Callaghan after every game. Don't know whether he still does or not cuz my husband who in the food service business no longer has that account.

Also my hubby saw Tim coming out of the Humidor @ Huebner Oaks and said that instead of buying a couple of cigars like he does, he had a box. It was the day of one of the games against the SUNS. YAHHHHHHOOOOO a Championship Final for the Spurs means NO RIOTS!!!!!

I hear the bookies in Las Vegas are favoring the Spurs. That totally disappoints the NBA and the sports announcers. I saw on another post that this was a boring series cuz there was no wife beatings etc... Well get used to it cuz you will NOT see any of that from the SPURS. They are a great group and love the game, the fans, the city and most of them from what i hear LOVE THE LORD.

We haven't had a Detroit sports riot since 89 or 90 back during the Coleman Young years. Our last big one was 84 Tigers.

The last 4 Championships(3 Red Wings, 04 Pistons), Detroit behaved themselves.
