We'll see if they can win 2 in San Antonio. The 88 Lakers did it against the Bad Boys(with the refs help in Game 6).
The difference is those 2 games the Lakers won in '88 were at home in the Great Western Forum, not on the road.

Late to the thread - sorry. Unexpected guests. Spurs lost D@%^&8*!@ - OY!
it was still a great game. See you all on Thursday. In the meantime Tim Duncan needs to practice free throws ...again :o)

I think Duncan better practice his free throws before Thursday. If he wasn't so lousey at the Free Throw line, maybe the Spurs could've won, (or at least not have lost by seven).

I agree, I thought Ben Wallace was a horrible free throw shooter but Duncan makes him look a 90% plus shooter.

Ah yes, I remember the many claims from Spurs fans of Spurs in 4 or 5.

Game seven.........toss up. Two great teams, one great series.

Missed the game. Caught up in too much stuff. Once again, the Pistons play their best when their backs are against the wall.

It's now a one game series. Winner takes all.

Anybody read Mitch Albom's column this morning (6/22/05) in the Freep?

Good Gawd, that guy has jumped the shark BIG time. It read like a parody, complete with all the tics and literary flourishes that Mitch has always had a penchant for throwing in just to make sure everybody realizes how much smarter he is.

Wojo is clearly now the best sportswriter in Detroit. Clean, crisp prose.

And oh, yeah, GO PISTONS!

Mitch jumped the shark when he started writing about politics.

They were bound to win game six, if only to torture all of us. Apparently the Spurs had lost only five home games in 2005, prior to Tuesday, and they have the highest home winning percentage in all of professional sports. All even, now it's one game for the championship. Heh heh...

Either it will be a close game, decided by a small number of points...

Or, it will be a blowout...

I'm ready for my own psychic hotline now.

The Pistons always play their best when backs are against the wall. The Spurs are almost always great at home.

I expect this to go down to the wire.

GO PISTONS!

And regardless of what happens tonight, at least now everybody will shut up who thinks the Pistons are not a legitimate champion.

Oh yeah!

Expecting and hoping for another thriller. Both teams to be commended on the best finals in over a decade. Can't remember two teams this good in the finals since the old LA/Boston days.

GO PISTONS!

This has been a great series. What would make it really great is a victory by the Pistons....

Gooooooooo Pistons!

Deeeetroit....Basketball...
