Monger has since obtained a seat belt extender from a local Ford dealer.

She'd been pulled over several times for the same thing, but didn't get around to fixing the problem until she was actually fined. No sympathy.

The question is the wisdom of a seat belt law in a free society. My memory says that this was not a judge imposed ruling, but is actually something that came out of various state legislatures. (I believe the fed applied pressure.)

In any case, it was fairly debated, and my side lost the debate. I'm OK with it because my side had a hearing.

I can't say the same for abortion.
