Speculations have their place, smoke has its generating source.

I remember reading the story of a man who believed that an ancient city existed despite the serious doubts amongst the "learned men and scientists of the day" pooh poohed as myth....until this man uncovered the ancient city of Troy!

Now for thousands of years the concept of the divine seems to have existed despite the serious doubts amongst the "learned men and scientists of the day".....

I will allow that the pairing of the two examples above may be a non sequitor....but a famous sage was quoted to have stated once"Seek and ye shall find, ask and ye shall receive, knock and the door shall be opened unto thee...."!

Hey even if the "dog barks up a wrong tree, he can still lift his leg and take a leak on it!"

Francis Bacon didn't have a problem with the Deity and he was quite the scientist. The Vienna Circle was doing very well dismantling both metaphysics and the Deity until Goedel sunk their boat. Goedel apparently didn't complete Leibniz's proof, but maybe somebody will later; even Goedel left some work to future logicians.

There is still plenty of room for the Diety among science thinking and scientists, but it is hard to get a fresh perspective so doesn't usually get mention in the journals.

If a man takes a particular mindset, he can see Providence just about everywhere and that ought to do for intuition.

Oh now you are expanding the conversation so that you are accusing Creationists of advocating Holy War and Jihad and are the bane of all free thought...

Creationists don't advocate Holy War as much as they practice it.

I was suggesting that (and as the posted article suggests) that those of the realm of science are not free of dishonesty and denial that some creationists are accused of and then you launch into Holy War Jibberish...

My comments fell rather naturally from what you said and what you still haven't said, as I follow the exchange. As for the article, it gives you an inch. Creationism has been calling its fantasies science as long as I've been watching, which is taking rather more than a mile.

No you comments fell from your unscientific biases against a Judeo-Christian world view...Did I say anything about a Holy War against science...no you did!
