A well placed .22 mag might do it, but I like more margin for error.

A lot of people like the .25'06 because of the distance usually involved. Although if they're getting this brazen, my trusty Ruger M-77 in .308 should do the trick.

I usually use 7mm Mag. Many shots are well out to 800 yards and I hate to walk that far to pick on up!
