My son is living in Bloomington and was spouting off some anti-war garble he had heard....I simply replied that I knew he was interested in all the good that the peace corp had done and started listed some of the similar things that our troops had accomplished, sewage/water system, replanting the large date crops, new hospital, schools etc. etc....and how they needed the protection of the military to accomplish these acts.

He said, "Mom, why haven't we heard about these in the media.....?

I live in Indiana and I am about ready to strangle Melloncamp! My sister and BIL are IU grads that are raising little Republicans, their kids insisted that they vote for Bush! I am proud that the kids paid attention to me!
