My favorite myth about the Egyptians of old is that they were peaceful blacks who had wings and flew around the pyramids like guardian angels until the white man came along, cut off their wings and enslaved them. Of course, the pyramids and sphinxes had sprung up all by themselves because the Egyptians would never enslave anyone.....
