Was on the beach in front of the Allegro on Friday. This hotel was recently closed for remodeling and will not reopen until late fall or winter. These men were probably laid off as their would be little need for many security personnel while the hotel is closed. By the way, I was very impressed by the Arubans. One in our party left her purse in a cab with a great deal of money therein. The cabbie turned in the purse to local police and it was brought back to the ship. Nothing at all was missing from the purse. Would this have happened in DC, Atlanta, or Detroit? I don't think so. A reward was turned down and it was suggested that she make a satisfactory contribution to here church.
