CHP pursuit of kidnap suspect broadcast live nationwide.
News conference taking place now.
Bye, all! Time to catch the train.
Thanks for all the entertainment this afternoon!
Thats a good video....
Gun shot to the chest confirmed
Gun shot to the chest confirmed
At the time of his arrest, he did have a GSW in his bicep.
Sorry -- bicep was where he had the dog bites.
Round entered his arm, then into his chest. Self inflicted.
After all that, he tried to kill himself and shot himself in the arm??
So now it's confired. The suspect was flashed banged, possibly tasered, ripped up by a German Shepard, and now confirmed shot in the chest.
Not a good day for the suspect.
Looks like he shot himself right after the flash bang, and just prior to the dog attacking.
Well, with everything that he had going on, I'm sure he was a little distracted and that threw his aim off...I mean - if you have a flashbang going off in one ear, tear gas going off behind you, a dog that's seriously wanting to see what you had for breakfast, and a taser causing you to do the chicken dance, just how straight do you think you could shoot??
He will have a headache in the morning!
We are hearing the round entered his arm, exited, and entered his chest. Makes sense, he was probably disoriented by the flash bang when he shot himself, or the dog was pulling on him when he shot himself. Seems he was determined to take himself out.
Exactly.
After all the ways I've heard of people missing during a suicide attempt with a gun, shooting their own bicep is a new one. That's all. Don't take offense, Bob.
Now the I-15 is shut at Barstow, due to an accident that's left debris scattered all over the interstate and possibly includes one fatality.
I bet the lady he tried to kidnap and ransom thinks differently.
