They guy is going just under 3 miles a minute. Lets say IF, and that is a big if, the trouper had something that would even do 170 mph, it would take at least one and a half minutes to reach that speed. By this time, the motorcyclist is nearly 4.5 miles ahead of him. The trouper has not even started to close the gap!

HAD to be a aircraft tracking him and a different officer who caught him.
