A thought though. The creepy umbrella guy's life hangs in the balance too. His life obviously must be on pins and needles this weekend, while they wait for a verdict.

I think he is already starving himself in order to get sympathy from the jury---if found guilty, (and this is a hugh IF), he will use his starvation, emaciation as a tool for leniency...(probation)---
If he gets jail time---a tool, to stay in hospital ward---
and if that doesn't work, well at least he will have a peaceful, euphoric end, won't he?
