Neither putting an innocent man through an expensive hell of public humiliation, nor releasing a child molester to prey again, sound particularly appealing. I haven't been following the trial closely, but it sounds as though he will probably be exonerated due to good lawyering, whether or not he is guilty.
His kids are sure to eventually receive lucrative offers to tell their "Daddy Dearest" stories. If they do, once again people will ask if they were financially motivated to lie. If "Daddy molested me!" is worth $1 million, and "Daddy didn't molest me!" is worth nothing...
I'm not thinking of his kids financial future, I am thinking of their physical and psychological futures...
BUT, you are right---they will make more if the details are more salacious...
