Well, the taxes and revenues generated by the stadium and the Javits expansion would reap huge profits for the city. Opponents just want more housing projects so they can get prime real estate for $150/month. It's laughable.

I tend to agree. Not even counting the income taxes on players, which will go a fair way towards paying off the city and state investment.

Then there's judging the project by its opposition - that the scumbag Dolans are against it makes me almost automatically for it. They only want to stop it because they want to protect the Garden's monopoly on sports and entertainment in Midtown.
