Man With Chain Saw Allowed to Enter U.S. By MICHAEL KUNZELMAN, Associated Press Writer

BOSTON - On April 25, Gregory Despres arrived at the U.S.-Canadian border crossing at Calais, Maine, carrying a homemade sword, a hatchet, a knife, brass knuckles and a chain saw stained with what appeared to be blood. U.S. customs agents confiscated the weapons and fingerprinted Despres. Then they let him into the United States.

I think we already knew about this deployment but didnt know why...
Ships to set sail for Mediterranean terror deployment

The ships and their 2,500 sailors are making the deployment, according to a press release from the Norfolk, Va.-based 2nd Fleet, to “detect [and] disrupt international terrorist organizations’ use of the maritime environment.”

“These ships are coming for identified purposes, not just for a regularly scheduled deployment, and we are eager to put them to work … .”
