If cell phones were used to activate the remote bombs in London, which is what we are all assuming (especially in the light of your info about stopping cellular in NYC), I still can't understand how the authorities are stopping cell service within the tunnels, etc, without disrupting related service areas. How does one do that? With a jammer? Or is it a much more compact and direct cell area and therefore a much simpler process like closing down a few cellular transmitters?
Sorry for the clumsy question. I do not know how this process works.
"Passenger believes he saw bomber"
Mr Jones said he saw a man in an agitated state on the bus A bus passenger says he may have seen one of those responsible for the bomb attacks in London."
I would love to know the description of that man...
Jammers would cause too much bleed-over interference, therefore the FCC would get their knickers in a knot. Most likely there are antennas within the subway, since the earth and building materials would block signals to surface antennas. I wouldn't be too difficult to shut down these antennas, just pull the plug.
