If one could only learn to appreciate the little things...A song
that takes you away, for there are those who cannot hear.
The beauty of a sunset, for there are those who cannot see.
The warmth and safety of your home, for there are those who
are homeless. Time spent with good friends for there are those
who are lonely. A walk along the beach for there are those who
cannot walk. The little things are what life is all about. Search
your soul and learn to appreciate. ~Shadi Souferian

POISON IVY RASH
Poison ivy - Don't scratch! Makes it spread, not only where you
scratch first, but wherever else you scratch. Aloe Vera gel (with
the lotions at Wal-Mart) applied to affected areas draws out the
poison and dries it up. If Aloe is not available, apply Vick's Vapor
Rub to make it quit itching [like you do for Chicken Pox] reapply
as needed. And stay away from the fan if you use the vapor rub.
Hope this helps someone. ~Ann

Bahrain's Top Diplomat Shot in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- Bahrain's top envoy to Iraq was wounded Tuesday
in the second attack against an Arab diplomat here in a week. A major
Sunni Arab group called on Sunnis to take part in future elections,
action that could diminish the insurgency.

Elsewhere, gunmen ambushed a minibus taking seven Baghdad airport
employees to work Tuesday, killing four women and wounding three men, police
and hospital official said. A roadside bomb targeted a U.S. security
convoy Tuesday near the Iranian Embassy, causing no U.S. casualties but
injuring one Iraqi, officials said.

The Bahraini diplomat, Hassan Malallah al-Ansari, was shot on his way
to work in western Baghdad, said Dr. Muhanad Jawad of Yarmouk Hospital.
Al-Ansari was treated for a shoulder wound and was released, witnesses
said.

"There was an attempt to kidnap him by gunmen when he was on his way
from his house to the Bahrain mission in Baghdad," Bahrain Foreign
Ministry Undersecretary Yousef Mahmoud said in a report carried by the
official Bahrain News Agency.

The incident occurred three days after gunmen kidnapped Egypt's top
envoy to Iraq, Ihad al-Sherif, and both attacks appeared to signal an
insurgent campaign to discourage Arab countries from bolstering diplomatic
ties to the U.S.-backed Iraqi government.

"The aim is clear, just to create a state of fear," Iraqi government
spokesman Laith Kuba said. Al-Sherif's kidnapping "was an attempt to ...
scare the other diplomatic missions so that they won't expand their
presence in Iraq."
