Milk Supply Vulnerable to Bioterrorism, Study Says

Introduction of as little as 10 grams of botulinum toxin into a milk tanker truck, could kill hundreds of thousands of people and cost the economy billions of dollars, according to an analysis by Stanford University researchers released yesterday despite opposition from federal officials.

This is one of the most chilling scenarios I could imagine. The range of the population that this would affect is horrific. Just makes me wonder, if there was a specific threat regarding milk or the food supply in general.

In past years trash and food products were shipped on the same trucks. I recollect butter and trash, but some of you may recollect other products shipped in this manner. There are countless ways in which our food can be contaminated, some after they leave their place of origin.
