Punch, hit and smash in order to get the baby to STOP crying? B.S. A 7yrs old is plenty old enough to know that.
Parents probably went next door to drink, or smoke it up, should've never been out of ear shot.
You don't trust ANYONE with, or near, a newborn - cat, dog, kids, friends, etc. unless you are standing right there. They are just too damn fragile to risk or assume anything.
Bottom line - they screwed up raising their 7yr old and that chicken came home to roost.
Open your wallet, we're all going to be paying for this 7 yr old kid the rest of his life - jail, institutions, welfare, etc. The parents little "gift" to the rest of us.
I dissagree a little bit in that you NEVER leave a baby with anybody else. There are people you trust and that is OK. I left my baby with my father while I was shopping and I was reassure nothing would happen to him. Or you can have very close friends. I know people with kids sometimes cover up for each other. There is nothing wrong with it.
Correct-a-mundo , and well said Sax
You don't know that. For all we know they may have had company and of them could have gone outside to say goodbye and the other may have decided to check the mail. It's just as feasible as your suggestion and isn't nefarious.
When one of the parents go to work are you saying that the other parent has to stay in the same room as the baby when it is napping? They would never get anything done. They wouldn't even be able to go to the bathroom.
