Are people demanding changes as the result of pouring over the grisly details on FR? Also, what kind of changes do you have in mind?
It's an ugly heartbreaking story but turning your eyes away will not bring the child back to life.
Gawking at corpse won't bring the child back to life, either.
Quit whining, take your damn blinders off and see reality as it is. I know the truth is too much to bear for too many but shunning it doesn't make it go away.
I am surprised by the anger I am seeing in response to my simple question. What gives with that? Sounds a little defensive.
The reality is that these kinds of cases are actually quite rare in the grand scheme of things. Drawing attention to every single one makes them appear to be commonplace. Before you know it, every parent is a suspect. That, along with the voyeurism, bothers me.
There's not a lot we can do in politics either but the articles are posted all the time. Besides it'll make some parents aware for the future.

If we have to lets start parenting classes on the subject of child protection, before the parent is permitted to remove the child from the hospital. (extreme) Let the parents know if it happens in your home, zip, you will be neutered.
I can't speak for the poster in question, but I find it frickin annoying for someone to post to a thread just to complain that the thread in question exists.
