You must be severely dehydrated to imagine such incredible mirages! I've never seen anything of the sort. I wouldn't be surprised if the truckers use the jugs because they're *more* sanitary than the alternatives.

The rest area in the Virgin River (Zion National Park, I-15, between Nev, Ariz, and Utah) has always been pristine. The view is fantastic as an added benefit. People actually camp in the rest area.
