I still say good riddance. He had to go to eventually put Carter in office and then get the Reagan Revolution in response to Carter.
Yeah, it worked out for us in the end. Without Carter's monumental incompetence, we never could have had elected someone as Conservative as RR. And had it not been for Watergate, it is unlikely a Rat would have been elected in 1976 (Carter barely won as it was.)
