On another thread someone stated Ronald Regan had pardoned this guy.He did.
One of the reasons I think this guy was deep throat, was because President Reagan seemed to have the same suspision.

Question: How much of what the W-P attributed to "Deep Throat" actually came from him?
It was a MSM frenzy. Sometimes the three TV networks devoted their entire evening newscasts to Watergate repeating old stories, speculating, whatever it mattered not. They were wild-eyed insane. Ditto some in the print medium.
What actually did the W-P hear from this source and what was just crap thrown against the wall to see if it stuck? We've seen time and time again how the MSM operate.
I'd like to hear Mr. Felt tell exactly everything he told the W-P.
Then I'd like to hear this former federal law enforcement big-wig who's collected hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayers' money over the past thirty or so years say something about why he broke the law!
Failing that (of course) I'd like to see everything in the FBI files on the Clintons (including TWA 800, OKC) dumped onto the Internet. Hey! it don't matter none!

He's 91, his family wanted him to take credit for it before he died supposedly. It's only credit when it goes against a Republican. It's shame if it goes against a democrat

I felt the same way. They're so proud of him. He's an FBI agent who leaked information. I wouldn't be so proud.

Did he break any laws? He must be prosecuted if he did.And since they knew, his family would be guilty of obstructing justice.

W. Mark Felt and Edward Miller (Reagan, 1981; clemency for authorizing FBI agents to break into Vietnam protestors' offices without warrants)
I believe pardons are for specific things, not blanket generic pardons of everything you've ever done wrong whether it's known or not.
Anyway, moot point since people thinking Felt would be charged for anything in connection with being Deep Throat are very seriously delusional.

Heh, Google rules :-) Found the exact same thing at the same time.

I'll stick with my belief that it is just another fabrication of Woodward's imagination like talking to William Casey on his deathbed.
