If they had wanted to be discovered by us, we would know about them by now.
To: Fitzcarraldo
And, if they did NOT want to be "discovered" by us?

Now is a sensible time for them to appear, since we've sent out intelligent signatures for several decades that may be detected from afar.
Their travel method would necessarily be superluminal, I'd guess, meaning beyond our best science.

I was only ribbing you.... but why do you call yourself "Nicky"? That's a girl's name!

"And, if they did NOT want to be "discovered" by us?" IF intelligent life is common and some "galactic federation" puts a "No tresspassing" sign on the Solar System, at least one intelligent race will say 'F*#@ you!' and make contact. Hence there are no such races hence we are alone. QED.

IF intelligent life is common and some "galactic federation" puts a "No tresspassing" sign on the Solar SystemI don't "buy" into that for a second either.
To: KevinDavis

Good evening.
All you have to do is grasp the concept of infinity to know that we aren't alone. If there is an infinite number of possibilities then there is an infinite number of planets with sentient life. QED.
