"Sometimes they run late because the people who are responsible for inviting you have to get you all the receipts and they are so slow," Waters said.

Yeah but it doesn't take 8 years Maxine like your buddy Steny took to report his. This smells like the Congressional Check Cashing scandal smelled....

Stacey Bernards, a spokeswoman for the Maryland Democrat, said the office searched the files after the travel issue was raised initially by "Republicans doing opposition research to deflect from their own ethical issues."

I wonder, how many trips has she been on at taxpayer expence?

"Staff members for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., disclosed 11 prior trips"

Yeah, but 8 of those trips were probably to abortion clinics and keeping them secret protected her privacy. Lets be fair.

"A spokesman for Gutierrez said the seven-term lawmaker did not know of his obligation to file the required travel disclosure reports."

This statement is my favorite. A 7-term congressperson and he didn't know ..?? How the heck do these IDIOTS get elected to office in the first place ..?? Obviously, they have a district of dumb-downed constituents.

Now the blame game begins with the demorats. "Not my fault" rings throughout the halls of Congress. It is a wonder that anyone holds respect for members of Congress.

I find it VERY disturbing that these people making $150,000+ a year plus the best perks there are, still accept money and FREE trips from people that expect things in return. Republicrat, Democan it doesn't seem to matter. It looks like the majority of them are just in it for the freebies. If it looks like a bribe, sounds like a bribe or smells like a bribe, it probably IS a bribe.
I think the one that disappointed me the most was Rep. Bob Beauprez, R-Colo. I thought this guy was a straight shooter, but it looks to me like he is just another two bit politician.
