China had made many agreements. Their history says that those agreements are usually worthless. They pay lip service while stabbing their "partners" in the back. If anything, this might lead to a war between China and India, rather than a bonafide parnership.

...so dod the Nazis. But the agreement between them and the Soviets was real and it led to severe and dire consequences for Europe, despite the Nazi track record...which they continued by then attacking the Soviets.
We need to move more definitvely, IMHO, to make sure that India tilts our way and not towards the ChiComms. That will involve opening more markets, agreements, and trade with them...and much, much less with the ChiComms IMHO, as a start.
