1) I was not altering headlines. I added commentary (that's what parenthesis are for); and,

2) It was not misleading. It was a heinous crime regardless of which set of parents approved it. The groom's parents approved it...read again.

Well, I think I was correct, that it was misleading. Adding the word 'Groom's' may have helped. Nevertheless, it seems the mods agreed with me.

When you say, bride raped (parents approve) it gives the clear implication it is her parents. You protestation notwithstanding.
