That happened because none of the people in the Old Testament were born again.I disagree. Uzziah was struck dead because he was not a Levitical priest. The ark was being transported on a new cart rather than carried by the priests. Righteous faith was not the issue; it was following the prescribed method which the Lord had given. Later, David modified the transportation and had only Levites doing the work.

Sorry. Silly. Read Hebrews 11, and try to find someone NOT listed in the 'old testament'.
Come to think of it, try and find any reference other than John 3 as to being "born again". You will be shocked to know that the Talmud has more about being "born again" than the Bible does. Not to disagree with the concept, but your use of it is wrong.
