I will get there next time I'm up in that direction. Meanwhile here's my list of best Texas BBQ:

Louie Mueller's Barbeque, Taylor

Cooper's, Llano

Smitty's, Black's and Kreuz Market, Lockhart.

Sam's and The Iron Works, Austin.

If you're in Lockhart hit all three, you only live once....

I'll remember Betty's but I haven't been to Abilene in 20 years. I live in Alabama and these boys here think the only conceivable things to BBQ are pork and chicken. I miss beef BBQ.
