California may be a trend setter but LA isn't. This is one city out of the whole state. This guy isn't the governor nor is he likely to ever be one. The only reason he is in office is that they had two idiots running and the voter turn out was terrible. I am sure they will replace him in the next election or maybe recall him when the crime gets really out of hand which it is bound to do.
That's very naive. One third of the entire state's population is in L.A. County. To say that L.A. is just another city is disengenous at best. It's like saying that NYC is just another city in NY, never mind that it dwarfs the population of all the other cities combined.
