I'm starting to think this total sicko is living in the Ukraine or is definately from some kind of Russian decendants.

I live in the midwest and am the daughter of a civil engineer who served his country in WWII. It must be my mutt pedigree. Scots Irish, English, a little German thrown in for bad measure. Capitalist to the bones. It's in my blood. I defend it to my dem acquaintances and relatives. But I don't defend people getting s*** on who have to drag out in the cold so you (and I) can have our Big Breakfast in the morning. It's probably Starbucks for the likes of you. I love their Java Chip ice cream but have yet to walk in one of their places.

Capitalism has run amok in this country, and people are being badly hurt. If worrying about what is probably becoming of this country makes me a sicko, I don't know what that makes you.

And I'm not so insane as to think every business checks packages. Some don't want to pay an extra employee to do that or just don't give a s*** who steals what because when the inventory comes up short, it gets written off on the credit side of the balance sheet and everybody is happy except the people who can't make ends meet and even though they work as many hours as you do, maybe more, get threatened to have their electricity and phone shut off on a regular basis. Some of them don't have phones.

If I'd realized you were a girl I would have been easier on you (guys tend to get nastier about politics). That said though, I don't see how you can acknowledge that a $100 an hour minimum wage would hurt those it's supposed to help, but not acknowledge the exact same scenario for a $17 hour minimum wage.
You're very compassionate, but aren't thinking logically.

You just don't get it do you? People make bad choices. But you want those choices paid by others. If you can't pay for your phone, then why should I care?

Capitalism run amok? Hell, I hope so! It keeps people employed.

And I have some really bad news for you...the people that own my hotel are dye-in-the-wool liberal Democrat idiots also.

But they sure don't mind making millions off tobacco, insurance, oil and gas pipelines, and other of those "evil" businesses. I laugh at their hypocrisy.

But at least we have you to be yet another poster child for the "bleeding heart liberal".

P.S. What about the businesses that don't have people with packages? Are you obsessed with packages?

Capitalism has not run amok as you say. My husband got fed up with working for the people he worked for so he started his own company. Times were bad for a while but we had a dream and kept at it. Poor little you. The people I see at fast food chains are usually high school students. I have never had Starbucks because I do not like coffee. Give me some good old Southern tea.

My ancestors were over here before the Revolution War. In fact, some were here before the first settlers came over here. Let's see, I have ancestors from Scotland, Ireland, England, France or Germany depending on where Alsace-Lorraine was way back then and Native American. I really enjoy doing genealogy research and learning about my ancestors and what they went through to settle this country.

Like someone said, you really need to get rid of all that anger.

First you say: "Capitalist to the bones. It's in my blood. I defend it to my dem acquaintances and relatives."

Then you say: "Capitalism has run amok in this country,"

Which is it?
