I want people paid enough money to live on without the maid, cellphones, home theater, luxury car. They are not asking for those things.

Even some highly educated people who worked hard to get through school are losing their jobs and can't find equivalent jobs. Some of them probably have to take jobs at places like Wal Mart as a stop-gap measure. If they can't get out of that pit within a few months to a year, they may never climb back up to anything close to what they once had, what most of you seem to have but don't want other people to be earn enough money to buy those things.

You have a very naive view of history. Many of the poor of today are wealthier than the Middle class of 50 years ago.

Get used to the competition. Or are you too much of a weenie to compete? Oh wait, I bet you want all those Chinese, Indians, Eastern Europeans, etc. to stay in sqaulor under the jackboot of tyranny so you can make an extra buck an hour putting a grommit into a hole.

Don't blame WalMart or our capitalistic system for that situation - blame the nannies and envirowhackos who have overtaken our governemnt and are trying to micromanage private businesses into bancruptcy and offshoring because of over regulation and over taxation..........sort of what you are supporting.

Escuse me. When is it Wal Mart's job to make sure you have what others have? The people I see working at our local WM's are either retired and wanted something to do or their wives or husbands told them to find something to do! Others are high school kids who want their own money. If you want more money then work somewhere else! It is that simple. I will give you an example. We have a yard man who does most of the yards on our short street. He has another full time job but he likes being outdoors so he started cutting grass and all the other things associated with keeping a yard looking nice. Besides that, he is raising his nephews and they have started working for him. No one is made to work at WM! We just got back from there and I did not see one unhappy worker. And, this store started hiring new workers since they have so much business.

If you do not like Wal Mart then do not shop there! It is that simple.
