I think Frist knows he doesn't have the votes to do it. The loss of 6 Pub votes on the nuke option would kill it, and there are twice that many RINOs who are opposed to using it. Some of those would probably vote for it to avoid possible repercussions back home, but I believe there are at least 6 who wouldn't.
Limp wrist Graham has already announced that he won't vote for the option under any circumstances, and i'm pretty sure there are several others who won't either.
That is not correct. Graham and DeWine both have stated very strongly they will not hesitate to vote for the option.
You are correct in saying it was in danger of failing to pass on the planned vote on Tuesday, so it has been saved and one hopes tonight's stunt galvanized Republicans.
