Here's this story again...
bump.
Tom Selleck was picked first to play Indiana Jones but the Magnum PI legal people wouldn't let him do any other film work while under contract to that show.
Bummer.
NRA/Republican spokesman Selleck woulda been a *much* better Indy than the uber-lefty Ford.....:)
Ummm, am I the only one wondering if our enemies will take any and all measures to prevent this from happening because of the ark's significance?
I hope Dr. Jones is careful.
If Geraldo isnt there for the opening its a non-event.
I recall reading that some people, ( back in the day), that opened the Ark were killed by some sort of blast or radiation.
(And I will check this weekend, but it could be in my garage...)
According to Speilberg and Lucas, the character was named after a dog: http://www.answers.com/topic/indiana-jones
According to Vendyl jones, he was NOT the model for the character:http://www.vendyljones.org.il/FAQ.htm
I used to take care of the computer network in a series of DOD warehouses on Norfolk Naval Base. I went into one of the giant warehouses the first week I was there to take care of a problem with a Cisco router. The building looked just like that warehouse in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" shown in the last scene. The building was almost a 1/4th of a mile long and it was filled with wooden cases just like the movie. We used to joke that the ark was in that building. :)
I don't know. If he is allowed to find the Ark, there's still the matter of the Lord having stated that only those from the tribe of Levi could touch it. I would love to see the Ark but, somehow, I don't think the Lord's going to allow it to be found.
If they really find the Ark, those F-16's probably won't be necessary.
Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat.
They found it quite readily ~ from space.
However, that radar only penetrated a few feet. You still can't tell where the river is from the ground however. Many of the comparable irrigation "tunnels" in Afghanistan are equally invisible, and certainly difficult to locate.
Whether or not Jerusalem has a natural supply of water, it could very well have served as a transit point for an irrigation system. Don't place too exacting a demand on the term "source".
"I'll think of something."
Don't know if you've seen this.
If Geraldo isn't there they just might find it. :)
We named the dog Indianna.
I thought it was in Ethiopia.
How do you get permission from a secret Kabbalist? Who do you ask?
Gee, that's a tough prediction to make.
