Good morning all. Senate convenes at 9:30 am this morning, to vote on the nomination of Priscilla Owen. I've started the thread early, as I have to leave for a few hours, but also to give us a place to start commenting early on the events of yesterday....

I'm not putting much faith in the Rat votes yet. They're playing it safe, seeing if enough RINOs will vote no to scuttle the nomination. If so, they'll change their votes.

Landreau aye--with Chaffee no. Go figureLandreau has to vote for Owen (and the others) for her own re-election concern. Chaffee votes no, for that very same reason.
