The Bottom line is really quite simple....

(1)Do you believe in a creator God and the words & teachings He's given us in His book?

(2)Or do you choose not to believe.

You're side may be correct. Our side my be right. BUT If our side is correct, I sure wouldn't want to be in your place at the last roundup!

Amen brother!

Well said and another reason for non-believers to reconsider - what will they really lose if they live as if God does exist? On the other hand . . .

God Bless

Herein you are making an assumption that the Bible is God's Word. You assume that because the Book claims to be the Word of God, and people you respect claim it is the Word of God. You have no empirical evidence that this is actually the case.

The important thing to remember is both sides base their opinion on faith. Christians base their opinion on the life altering change Christ made in their life. Something they know as fact, yet cannot prove to anyone. Evolutionists base their faith on a theory developed by scientists. The people who once thought the world was flat.

False dichotomy

It's perfectly possible to "...believe in a creator God and the words & teachings He's given us in His book?..."

...and not agree that you have the only correct interpretation.

Actually, the bottom line isn't quite that simple. Which creator God are you professing belief in? And of the vast array of gods throughout history, how do you know your's is the right one?

So the "bottom line" is, if you are worshiping the wrong god, "I sure wouldn't want to be in your place at the last roundup!"

No exactly so simple. I do believe the God of Abraham gave us His Word in the Bible. That said, I do not necessarily believe the anti-evolutionists are reading the Genesis correctly.

He's given us in His book?

Who's "He"? Thor? Mohammed? Mormoni? Buddha? So many have given so much ... how does one choose? By what they were taught at a young & impressionable age?

Whew! That is truly the bottom line, isn't it! It actually answers any, and all critics ms. Truly a matter of what one chooses to believe or not believe and I, as you, choose to believe in God. Can't imagine it being simpler.

1) billorites -- the person who posted the article -- said that he/she believes in God.

2) You are rehashing Pascal's Wager with the dishonest equivocation of evolution with atheism. Pascal's Wager is a false dilemma fallacy and thus an invalid argument, and evolution is not atheism so your false dilemma is itself founded upon a dishonest premise.

Ah Pascals gambit.

You do realize there are more then two religions in the world. More then one condemn you.

I share Mark Twains attitude. I paraphrase.

'I'm not sure where I'm going, but I'm glad its not the same place as the people who go around condemning everybody who does'nt share there beliefs!'

Why is it that believers almost always refer to "us" and "ours" instead of "me" and "mine"? Good evidence for some insecurity in their faith, I think.

I suspect God thinks religious people are silly and boring, but has a soft spot for scientists.

Somewhere in the Middle East, someone is asking, "Do you believe in a creator Allah and the words & teachings He's given us in His book (the Koran)? or do you choose not to believe? Your side may be correct. Our side may be right. BUT If our side is correct, I sure wouldn't want to be in your place when Allah is picking out who gets 72 virgins and who gets doomed to an eternal hell.
