No apologies needed! The only point I meant to make is one I've made many times before - reality is eternal and immutable no matter our perception of it. Few things are more characteristic of mankind than a drive to know the truth of all things.
The apocryphal remark of Galileo upon his condemnation puts it quite well: "And yet the earth still moves!"
