This is the only way we'll actually know HOW thoroughly compromised the Republican Party has become!

Here is how Frist only has 48 on his side for the rules change:

44 RATs in the senate plus one "independent" = 45 solid lock-step votes against rules change. 7 RINOs have vowed not to vote for rules change if Owens / Brown / Pryor come to the floor for a vote (note it doesn't call for them to be confirmed, simply that they get a vote). 45 + 7 = 52. 100 Senators - 52 votes against rules change = 0 nuclear option.
