They both passed---the one with umbilical cord blood passed 470-1--Ron Paul was the only nay vote.
The other bill, with embryonic stem cells also passed something like 284-197 (close, anyway) but with not enough of a majority to be veto proof...however, like I said, the article said that at least 60 senators are already in FAVOR of this second bill...what a shame
I am not surprised after this "compromise committee" crap...how many conservatives are there, really?
I am sort of afraid that Frist will vote for it, because I had heard that he is a little more ready to fund embryonic stem cell research than President Bush is....
