" McCain accomplished nothing " ... oh yes he did... not only did her tick off many Americans... but ? he basically ended his political career as a ( so called Republican ) until his term is over, then ? he'll change party affiliation, and join the Democrats and will be Hitlery's VP choice in 2008. Can someone come up with a picture comparison of John Benedict Arnold McCain and of Howard Meanie Deanie.... doesn't both of them look like brothers that were separated at birth ?...he received nearly 70% of the vote last time that he ran and has consistently vowed that he is a "Goldwater Republican." He was also a Silver Star winner for his service to his country, as well as a POW who turned down an offer to return early in a show of unity to other POWs held at the infamous Hanoi Hilton (hardly Benedict Arnold). Incidentally, have you ever worn the uniform of the United States? If not, why so cavalier about those who have earned (by service and by the election of those constituents who believe in them) to be called statesmen?

John McCain may have done something admirable 30-odd years ago. I guess he got it out of his system, though, because he's been nothing but an unhinged, egotistic, RAT-loving snake since.

Saying you're a "Goldwater Republican" doesn't make you one. Actions louder than words and all that...
Fully agree that he should be lauded for his service in Vietnam. Worth pointing out however that he was REQUIRED by the Code Of Conduct to turn down offers of parole or special treatment. That being said, anyone who has ever been a POW has my unflinching respect.
It doesn't excuse everything you do afterwards in your life however. It certainly doesn't qualify you as a "statesman."

In the first place, even if I wanted to serve in the military, my chances of serving in the military were gone right after I was born.
After I was born , I had a bone infection and required many operations on both of my legs and I wouldn't have never passed the physical requirements that the military requires to join.
The military would have never let me join because of my physical limitations..ok ? end of argument.
Cavalier ? ummmm ? excuse me ? my nephew just got back from Iraq..... he got hit by 5 bullets in the battle of Fallujha.. so ? that argument is mote also.
When I said,,, John Benedict Arnold McCain ,,, I meant, he betrayed the Conservative Republicans.. in joining the Liberal/Democrat ( America Haters,,,,, traitors of America ) in his deal with them.

McCain was a fine war hero. He's a terrible Senator, a petty and vindictive loser, and a disloyal Republican.
