I think Arlen correctly saw his chairmanship losing power.
He's NOT happy with the deal at all. Thw two GOP memebers on his committe and also in the cabal are DeWine and Graham. NO demcrat in the cabal is on the Judiciary!

What the Committee member democrats could not accomplish, the cabal has done for them.

Arlen saw this and sees this now.

I just called McCain's office in Tucson and spoke with "Bob." "Bob" was courteous. When I asked how many judges had been ditched by McCain, he responded that none that he was aware of. I then mentioned the multiple Internet rumors (also in the NYT) that Kavanaugh and Haynes were also ditched as an unspoken part of the deal; his response was not to believe what you read on the Internet. My response was , "I'd sooner believe the Internet than anything that comes out of McCain's office."

I am really steamed by McCain's treachery.

I agree with both of you. We are watching:

McCain usurping the power of Majority Leader Frist
McCain/Graham usurping the power of Arlen Spector & Judiciary committee

The other RINOS are in it for MSM attention.
