'Puter woes - still. I'm about ready to re-format. Ran scandisk yesterday (took 14 hours) and this thing is still popping up fatal error messages, locking up etc. and it's causing me to talk to myself - sometimes LOUDLY. Perhaps a new hard drive is the way to go. Gonna start some back-up operations for those "just in case" issues.

Hi, Dave - I can certainly sympathize with you and hope you get things straightened out soon. It's frustrating getting those fatal errors and the blue screen and locking up at the most inopportune time, for seemingly no reason. :(
Can't believe it took 14 hours to scan - WOW! (I did mine not too long ago - the *thorough* scan - but it didn't take NEARLY that long - I'm thinking maybe an hour at the most. (No errors found, fortunately)
It's a pain putting everything back once the reformatting's done, too.
