We get our judges confirmed

You have three judges confirmed; if they had gone through with the constitutional option they would have had most of them confirmed. They gave it up and received nothing in return. The Republican Party is just another branch of the Democratic party; they are too busy kissing each other A..es to bother with their constituency.

Anything in this "deal" which says we won't go nuclear at some future point? Am I missing something?

I'm sorry, but that's incorrect. All this little maneuver did for Harry Reid was delay the Day of Reckoning - Frist still has the ability to exercise the Option when needed.

More importantly, consider this - if the Option had come to the floor, and Frist were unable to garner 51 votes, the precedent created would have allowed the filibuster to continue unfettered. Nothing could have been done to stop a filibuster of any and all Supreme Court nominees. As it is, the Option is alive, and if the President nominates Brown or Owen to the Court, even the Looney Lefties won't be able to stop their confirmation.
