And who is going to benefit from the "backlash?" The same people who benefit from the split in the Republican party. And who would those people be? Democrats, of course, and Hillary in particular. Maybe she won't even need a 3rd party conservative to siphon off Republican votes. She might be able to win with over 50%. And who would you say is helping her split the party and cause the backlash. (Pardon me, I have to run and get my tin foil hat before I get flamed for this heresy.)

I think that Laura Ingraham put it best tonight.

She doesn't know what to do.

You want to change the liberal composition of Capitol Hill, so you elect Republicans.

Then, you realize that the U.S. Senate's agenda is set by feckless "moderates," so you campaign for more conservative Republicans and a larger GOP governing majority.

Then, you discover to your horror that the same tiresome middling leftist policies are being enacted, so you exhort a more conservative leadership to take the reins of power.

Still, the same unpalatable results.

I truly am at a loss.
