The dems are already going back on the deal: (from http://www.nationalreview.com/benchmemos/064079.asp) Democratic officials said an unwritten aspect of the pact is that two nominees not named in the deal - Brett Kavanaugh and William J. Haynes - would not be confirmed and would be turned aside either at the committee level or on the floor.
Democratic officials said an unwritten aspect of the pact is that two nominees not named in the deal - Brett Kavanaugh and William J. Haynes - would not be confirmed and would be turned aside either at the committee level or on the floor. I've wondered how the Judiciary Committee would play its hand on this. One thing really good is that NONE of the politicians are having much success hiding. Not the DEMs, not the squishee GOP.
If the DEMs appear to be negotiating in bad faith, we're right back where we started, except some nominations will have been voted on.
